GREEN:

The term "Green" covers a broad range of definition these days. One of our missions is to craft beautiful, long-lasting pieces in an environmentally responsible manner. The simple fact that a piece is built to last, out of quality products, reduces the input to the waste-stream.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. This background motivates him to explore the use of
eco-friendly materials and lessen the impact to the environment.

There are many reasons why people choose to build green. Some have personal chemical sensitivities, some wish to recycle materials they already have, and some just wish to lower the impact their project has on our environment.

What we're doing in the shop :
•Using non-toxic or low VOC finishes
•Commuting by bicycle
•Using compact flourescent lightbulbs
•Recycling shop waste
•Evaporating waste water used in cleaning
